Medical Director Wound Care, Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City) Norwalk Hospital, Affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a full-time Medical Director for Wound Care at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. We are located in suburban Fairfield County just 50 miles outside of New York City along the Connecticut shoreline and just 10 minutes from Norwalk Hospital. This is an exciting growth opportunity with more outpatient community programs and opportunities for advancement in hyperbaric medicine in a family-friendly location with close proximity to NYC and easily accessible via train. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match. Hiring bonus may also be available. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have experience in Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Supervision, but an interest and/or a desire to learn the specialties will be considered and hyperbaric training will be provided to a candidate with wound care experience. Wound care and HBO certification desired but not required. Responsibilities

Provide Medical Director oversight for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine services. Support growth of outpatient community programs and opportunities for advancement in hyperbaric medicine. Collaborate with hospital leadership and affiliated practices to ensure high-quality patient care. Requirements

MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration (CSR). Board Certified in your specialty after successful US residency. At least 3 years’ experience as a practicing physician; some prior wound care experience with management, leadership or administrative experience; minimum 40 hours Hyperbaric certification required to be a Medical Director. Willing to work Monday – Friday, 8 hours sometime between 7 AM – 5 PM. Bi-lingual Spanish skills a plus.
