Overview
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Youth and Health Impact, the Director of Healthy Living has direct responsibilities for the Wellness Department and supervisory responsibilities over the wellness member service associates, personal trainers and group exercise instructors. Responsibilities
Direct responsibilities for the Wellness Department and supervisory responsibilities over the wellness member service associates, personal trainers and group exercise instructors. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred in a Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation or Exercise Science or health related field. Will accept a minimum of three or more years of experience working in a Wellness Center or recreation facility preferable in a nonprofit setting. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience with increasing responsibilities. Requires training, certifications or experience with group exercise, program development, YMCA fitness programs or YMCA specialist training. Able to direct programs, provide supervision of volunteers & staff, monitor budgets, marketing wellness programs & fundraising. Must be knowledgeable and able to operate computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communications skills & experience with diverse populations preferred. CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications within first 60 days of hire.
