Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Staff Associate. This role will serve under the leadership and supervision of the Associate Director of Human Resources. The HR Staff Associate -Recruitment provides confidential professional and administrative support for the Office of Human Resources. This position is responsible for and not limited to the following: Works closely with HR Liaisons and University Human Resources (UHR) to assist with the talent acquisition process Supports HR Liaisons with preliminary review of all employment transactions Provides explanations when escalating cases to UHR for approval and serves as the Liaison between the Newark campus and UHR Creates and analyzes reports, converting data into information to assist with decision-making Maintains relevant spreadsheets and updates departmental databases regularly Ensures alignment of recruitment process with compliance to internal policies, negotiated contractual agreements, and legal requirements Collaborates with RU-N IT to problem-solve technical inquiries as required by operating system changes or enhancements Supports UHR -Newark team with preparation, administration, and implementation of projects, events, etc. as required Manages, schedules, maintains the office calendar, and responds to office emails in a timely manner Addresses client inquiries, acts as a liaison for professional staff, and cooperates with employees throughout the university Performs other duties as assigned FLSA: Nonexempt Grade: 03 Salary Details

Minimum Salary 54,027.000 Mid Range Salary 68,383.000 Maximum Salary 82,739.000 Offer Information

Minimum Education and Experience Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, and/or Communications or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, report writing, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills. Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requires meticulous attention to accuracy and details. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education preferred.
