The role will assist with the development and execution of people initiatives that reinforce DCU’s culture and priorities and elevate the employee experience. In collaboration with PXD and Corporate Communications, the Specialist will assist with translating business strategies into key messages, developing internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and executing programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture. This includes supporting engagement and pulse surveys, planning and developing internal communications to support the employee experience, and helping leaders access information, best practices, and tools to engage and inspire their teams. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, and deeply passionate about employee engagement, internal communications, and the employee experience. Essential Functions

Supports the execution of an employee engagement survey and pulse surveys. Develops communications using a variety of platforms to tell the story of how the organization has responded to prior feedback and build engagement and interest in the upcoming survey. Develops tools and content for managers to understand, analyze, communicate, and act on survey feedback to enhance the employee experience. Supports the approach and framework for delivery of pulse surveys to assess progress and engagement between regular surveys. Works with various sub teams (e.g., the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging team) to develop findings and recommendations from survey data. Uses best-in-class internal communications avenues across the organization to fuel employee engagement, influence connectivity and culture, positively impacting all departments. Develops communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, Teams and other platforms, town halls, supervisor meetings, staff meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages. Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with DCU priorities and themes. Coordinates, writes, and edits content for a variety of internal mediums. Works with the Marketing department to ensure adherence to style and brand guidelines. Collaborates with Marketing to design print and digital media for larger internal campaigns. Stays current on trends in the Marketing, Communications, L&OD and HR fields to ensure solutions are state-of-the-art and meet regulatory and legal needs. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or requested. Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements. Travel:

Travel to branches, conferences, and seminars is required. What You’ll Need

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field 1-3 years of relevant employee engagement, employee experience and communications experience Demonstrated previous experience in business writing; experience with web and digital content preferred Additional Eligibility Requirements: Strong written and verbal communication skills including superior writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills and a knowledge of Smart Brevity™ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups Excellent rapport-building skills with stakeholders at all levels Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative Consistently demonstrates strong business acumen and judgment Self-motivated and able to work independently Willingness to build relationships and collaborate across the broader People Experience & Development, Experience, Information Technology, and Member Services departments and other teams Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) What We Do
