Together we are seeking a proactive, forward thinking finance leader with a strong mix of technical acumen, systems skills and the ability to lead change efforts across the enterprise.Role & Responsibilities* Support the implementation of new FASB, NAIC, SEC, or other applicable regulations and policies across the organization, including subsidiaries.* Research and analyze complex transactions or updates to accounting rules, assess their impact, and determine appropriate implementation strategies.* Provide hands-on support to subsidiary management for process improvements and the adoption of new controls.* Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting systems and operational workflows.* Lead or contribute to special projects that drive strategic goals, such as reporting transformation, partnerships with data & analytics or AI teams, and modernization of accounting practices.* Build and sustain effective relationships with subsidiary finance teams and leadership.* Mentor and train assigned staff members.* Manage special assignments and perform other duties as needed.Key Skills* Bachelor’s degree in business with 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to the insurance industry.* Proficiency with financial systems, software applications, and data modeling.* Awareness of modern IT tools, including artificial intelligence and low-code platforms.* Familiarity with insurance industry financial operations and best practices.* Demonstrated leadership capabilities.* Experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and FP&A activities.* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.* Skilled in organization, planning, and managing projects.* Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.* CPA preferred, not required.This is a permanent, full-time position offering a unique opportunity to drive significant change and deliver substantial value within a leading Insurance carrier.
