Job overview

The Senior Dental Nurse role at Chelsea and Westminster involves working as part of the Paediatric multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of dental care to our patients, many of whom have complex needs. The Senior Dental Nurse will assist the Band 6 senior dental nurse and to accountable to the Paediatric Dental Coordinator. The Senior Dental Nurse will provide advice and support to all staff and will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams in caring for children and their families to ensure a high quality standard of care and treatment. This role will be to provide senior dental nursing support primarily to Orthodontic department but also be involved in Paediatric Dentistry.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who has the ability to work within a team and also on one’s own initiative. Working solely with children and special needs children interest and experience in this specialty would be desirable.GDC registration as a DCP is an essential requirements for this post. The post will involve assisting and leading in Orthodontic Clinics, General Anaesthetic treatments and New patient clinics. Experience in all of these would be desirable but again not essential.
