Senior Water Resources Engineer
— Minneapolis, MN Job Type – Hybrid, Onsite Team and Focus
We are a team of water resource, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineers delivering water resource engineering projects focused on hydraulic and hydrologic systems, navigation, flood risk reduction, river restoration, and site improvement projects for clients nationally and globally. We seek motivated candidates who enjoy working in a team environment on challenging projects to join our Minneapolis office. Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for our Minneapolis, MN office. What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include leading a team of engineers in technical analysis, design, preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates for water resources, infrastructure, environmental, structural, and energy projects. Project development includes hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, ponding and detention area sizing and design, streambank stabilization, civil design layout, surface modeling, grading and drainage, utility layout and design, and low impact development feature layout and design. Project management skills and the ability to work directly with clients in project development are desirable. Some field work and travel may be required. Be comfortable with leading and mentoring a team of younger engineers and technical staff. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of water resources and civil engineering projects and develop your career toward more project management or team managerial responsibilities. Responsibilities
Participation in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market-specific papers and presentations. Collaborate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) to produce plans and specifications. Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget. Ability to manage and mentor staff. Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. At least 8 years of relevant experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Open to active participation in professional organizations. Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills. Excellent technical writing skills. Excellent design team leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of water resources engineering with ability to lead project development and determine solutions to meet client needs. Experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling (HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, HydroCAD or other). Working knowledge of ACAD Civil 3D or MicroStation. Familiarity with site grading design, surface runoff management, detention design, and conveyance. Salary
— $119,400 - $156,975 per year (Salary range for MN location). Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation. The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, and company policy.
