About the Job The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of design projects from contract award to final installation. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, production, and field installation crews.
Responsibilities * Manage multiple millwork and interior projects simultaneously from initiation to completion. * Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications to ensure scope clarity and feasibility. * Develop project timelines, budgets, and procurement plans. * Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, architects, and vendors. * Conduct project meetings, provide progress updates, and resolve design or production issues proactively. * Ensure client satisfaction through clear communication, timely delivery, and attention to detail. * Monitor production progress to ensure fabrication aligns with design intent and quality standards. * Approve materials, finishes, and shop drawings in coordination with design and engineering teams. * Conduct site visits during installation to ensure fit, finish, and schedule compliance. * Track project costs and manage budgets to ensure profitability. * Prepare and review change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation. * Identify and mitigate project risks or delays through proactive planning. * Team Leadership & Collaboration * Mentor assistant project managers or coordinators as needed. * Uphold company standards for safety, quality, and professionalism.
Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred. * 3-4 years of project management experience in architectural millwork, commercial interiors, or construction. * Proven track record managing mid-to-large scale custom woodwork or interior projects. * Strong understanding of millwork fabrication processes, materials, and finishes. * Proficiency in reading architectural blueprints and technical drawings. * Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or Buildertrend). * Exceptional organizational and time management skills. * Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities. * Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and client satisfaction. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
