The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a
.NET Application Developer (Information Technology Analyst I)
for the Superior Court Operations Division; Systems Support Unit. The selected candidate will work as a member of a team developing and supporting .NET web applications as well as supporting and migrating existing applications in other legacy platforms (such as classic .asp and MS-Access) to .NET.
Qualified applicants will possess experience in the specific functional area of Software Development including some or all of the following:
Assisting in analyzing and designing, coding and testing routine software applications, data and reports including business intelligence reports
Assisting in the configuration and installation of application packages
Assisting with writing technical program specifications and technical systems specifications
Assisting in troubleshooting and supporting production issues.
Qualified candidates must have experience with some or all of the following technologies:
• Visual Studio .net 2019 or above including:
o Developing ASP.NET Windows Forms Applications and/or MVC Applications
o In-depth knowledge of at least one .NET language (vb.net and/or asp.net
preferred) o Developing applications using Active Directory and/or Entra
SQL Server Management studio 2016 or higher databases including: o Create, modify and debug stored procedures o Create and modify table structures o Writing SQL Queries • Web-based UI design principles • Front end web development using technologies such as HTML5, CSS and/or JQuery • DevOps Project Management software
Upon hire, hybrid remote work may be available.
Salary Range: $87,242 - $114,315/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits.
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
General Experience: Four (4) years of experience in information technology (IT), programming, systems/software development or another IT related field with a concentration in the specific area of the position being applied for.
Substitutions Allowed:
1) College training in management information systems, computer science, electrical engineering or related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling six (6) months of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor’s degree.
2) A Master’s degree in management information systems, computer science, electrical engineering or related area may be substituted for the General Experience.
3) Relevant certification in management information systems, computer science, electrical engineering, project management or related area may be substituted for up to six (6) months of the general experience.
Special Requirements: Incumbents may be required to travel within the State in the course of their daily work.
