Description:

We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Welder / Fitter for plate and structural fabrication work.

* Basic knowledge of fitting plate, structural material and pipe utilizing shop drawings, specifications and travelers

* Use torches to cut/cope beams, cut/bevel plates and heat straighten parts

* Knowledge of fitting and welding various materials; carbon steel, stainless steel, inconel and aluminum

* Welding processes may include; Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-cored Arc Welding (MCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Submerged Arc Weld (SAW)

* Perform welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions

* Produce consistent welds in accordance with shop drawings and customer specifications

* Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS) to set up welding machines and check weld sizes with company-issued weld gages

* Run overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary to move parts throughout the shop

Requirements:

* Ability to read and understand shop drawings

* Ability to pass various types of weld tests

* Ability to understand standard welding symbols

* Basic math skills

* 1 - 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

* Crane experience

* Forklift experience

* Trade certification or equivalent experience

* Must be authorized to work in the US

Compensation details: 19-23 Hourly Wage
