Medical Front Desk Representative . You'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth check-in/out, accurate information capture, and seamless coordination between patients, clinicians, and billing.
Key Responsibilities Greet, register, and check in/out patients; verify demographics and insurance Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; manage multi-line phones and patient messages Collect copays/balances; post payments and issue receipts Verify eligibility/benefits; support referrals, authorizations, and records requests Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard PHI at all times Document accurately in the EHR (e.g., Epic/Cerner/eClinicalWorks) Coordinate with clinical and billing teams to resolve patient issues promptly Support front office workflows, daily reconciliations, and reporting as needed Required Qualifications Background in healthcare or medical office setting Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills MediClear Certification (or equivalent certification) required Strong organization and time management; thrive in a fast-paced environment Basic proficiency with EHR/EMR and office software; accurate data entry Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field Relevant front-office certifications (patient access, medical receptionist) Insurance verification/authorization experience; bilingual a plus
