JOB SUMMARY

The Beverage Department Administrator will work with the Barcelona Wine Bar Beverage Team on a variety of projects varying in scope, complexity, and topic. This role will require a thorough and intuitive understanding of Barcelona's beverage program philosophy & values, as well as first-hand knowledge of how it functions operationally. This person will have expansive interests in all types of beverages as well as the restaurant beverage industry. They will be highly organized, task-oriented, and quickly react to the needs of Barcelona restaurants, guided by the Senior Director of Beverage.

This role is ideally based out of the Restaurant Support Center in Westport, CT; however, we will also consider qualified candidates located in markets within local proximity to the home office.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Bevager administrative functions, including: system maintenance, sales matching, and rematching Vendor and Supplier communication associated with contract price violations. Bevager work associated with beverage updates, including adding new items, vendors, and updating recipes Demonstrates a strong understanding of all Beverage COGS Will participate and coordinate as needed in cocktail recipe development and new product tastings, as well as research new items. Maintain Figma and Google Drive files formatting and organization meticulously. Supports the Beverage team with inventory variance analysis and response. Participates in duties as needed for new restaurant openings, including vendor communication, Bevager set-up. Communicates as needed with Beverage Managers and Directors. Will travel to restaurants and the Restaurant Support Center as needed for training and overall Beverage support. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Beverage. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years of experience as a restaurant beverage manager and/or sommelier. Extensive knowledge of wine and wine terminology. Previous or current wine certification/qualification/courses or schooling is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of spirits, beers & cocktails as well as "mother" cocktail recipes. Must have strong problem-solving skills and produce quality solutions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze inventory variance and cost vs sales reports Strong background in budget tracking, cost control, and forecasting beverage costs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize work and multitask successfully. Ability to create and maintain inventory reports, cost analyses, and compliance records. Proficiency in Figma, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive & Bevager/Foodager. SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able and be available to work extended hours, days, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Must be able to sit and work in front of a computer during scheduled work hours. Must be able to travel to any of our locations, often including multi-day trips. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds. Must be willing and able to work well individually with minimal remote supervision.
