Our Guest Services Hosts are the friendly faces that greet guests, answer questions, and help plan amazing days at the Museum. You'll work in fun spaces like the Planetarium, Infinity Theater, and our Immersive Voyager Virtual Reality!
The Guest Services Host position is highly interactive with our guests in a dynamic and fun working environment. Located throughout the Museum, our Host teammates sell tickets and memberships, while also helping to plan guests' days in the museum. You'll work with our team in our Infinity theater, Planetarium theater, in the Museum Lobby, and more while assisting guests and setting the tone for a great Museum experience.
This is a three quarter-time, seasonal position that will run from November-January 15th, 2026.
This role primarily supports our daytime operation, but will be required to support occasional evening events including Magical Winter Nights.

$20 Work Schedule:
4 days/week, 30-32 hours.
Essential Duties Provides engaging and meaningful guest experiences through outstanding customer service and assistance at various Museum venues, including special events as needed Uses ticketing system for point of sale transactions, membership enrollment/renewal, and basic sales orders Communicates the difference in membership levels and benefits to guests Ability to facilitate a cash and/or debit and credit card payment with accuracy for guest transactions Ushers guests into the Infinity Theater: check tickets, distributes and collects glasses, provides customer service as needed in the theater. Ushers guests into the Planetarium Theater: check tickets, runs show controls and provides service in the theater. Operates Virtual Reality Experience: Orient and onboard guests to the experience, assist with VR headsets, engaging in basic technology troubleshooting as needed Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required Able to work holidays, weekends, and evenings Minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers face to face and at least 6 months working in a fast-paced environment Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have
Cash Handling experience Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English) Available to work 3-4 days a week, including weekends and holidays Working Conditions
Ability to be in both stationary and circulating positions throughout shift Continual operation of a desktop computer, mobile computer, scanner or other technical equipment Infinity and Planetarium: ability to ascend/descend stairs, provide equipment to guests, move and store strollers, move rolling racks and other equipment Moderate physical activity required. Moves racks of 3D glasses, laptops, scanner, ticket stock, and ticket printers. Operates Virtual Reality experience: Calibrates and prepares VR headsets, assist with guest load in/out of the experience. May work in a space with special effects such as visual and sensory enhancements, including atmospheric and lighting effects (strobe, laser). Moderate noise (Museum floor, and theatres, medium to high traffic) Application Instructions
