Overview

St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Parrish, Florida, is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Parish Receptionist to join our parish staff. This vital role serves as the welcoming face and voice of our parish-offering hospitality to visitors, assisting parishioners, and supporting the administrative needs of the parish office.

The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment, with strong technological proficiency and a deep respect for confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities Warmly greet all visitors and callers; respond to inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff or ministry. Manage the front desk, handle parish correspondence, and distribute mail and packages. Maintain and update the parish master calendar, event schedules, and databases (including sacramental and parishioner records). Coordinate Safe Environment documentation and compliance for all parish volunteers. Schedule Mass intentions, maintain the Mass book, and prepare related correspondence. Assist with sacramental records, certificates, and documentation for baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Provide administrative support to the Pastor and staff-copying, scanning, filing, data entry, and correspondence preparation. Maintain the Memorial Garden records, order plaques and bricks, and assist with related communications. Monitor and order office supplies as needed. Support parish events, meetings, and liturgies, including setup and hospitality coordination. Serve as liaison for the Mother Cabrini Center: managing reservations, room calendars, and forms. Prepare weekly bulletin announcements, Prayers of the Faithful, and verbal announcements for liturgies. Assist with special projects, hospitality for funerals, and marriage preparation documentation as needed. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent (required). 2-3 years of administrative or office experience (preferred). Parish or church office experience (a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn parish database software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a welcoming and compassionate manner. Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
