Overview
Network Architect (with Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility) leads the development and communication of a forward-looking network architecture and modernization roadmap for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency, ensuring alignment with federal standards and industry best practices. Collaborates with leadership and technical experts to shape innovative strategies that enhance scalability, security, and resiliency. Designs and oversees enterprise-scale network solutions focused on operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Advocates for continuous improvement by integrating market trends and customer feedback, while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Provides strategic guidance on emerging technologies and crafts compelling business cases to secure investment. Establishes KPIs to measure success and communicates complex strategies through presentations and workshops with stakeholders.
Responsibilities Defines and communicates a forward-looking network architecture and roadmap for modernizing networks that aligns with best practices and federal standards. Engages with executive leadership, team members, and technical experts to gather insights, align objectives, and shape innovative network modernization strategies. Architects comprehensive network models addressing complex technical challenges across multiple sectors while ensuring scalability, security, and resiliency. Provides strategic oversight for the implementation of enterprise-scale network solutions aligned with organizational goals. Champions best practices and drives continuous improvement by integrating market trends and customer feedback. Develops cross-discipline network designs focused on operational efficiency, delivering cost-effective solutions that reduce expenses while maintaining performance and resiliency. Crafts and presents executive-level business cases articulating strategic and financial benefits of network modernization initiatives to secure necessary investments. Ensures all network architectures adhere to federal regulations, security standards, and industry best practices. Provides strategic guidance on emerging technologies and innovative network solutions, serving as a trusted advisor on technology investments and modernization efforts. Establishes KPIs and benchmarks to evaluate the success of network modernization initiatives. Directs and participates in technical presentations, demonstrations, working groups, and workshops for executives and technical stakeholders to communicate complex network strategies and solutions.
Qualifications 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least five years in Network Design and Architecture. Preferred: Analytics/AI/ML, CSfC, ZTA, SDN, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and large-scale hybrid environments. Master’s degree preferred. Required: Cisco and/or TOGAF/CISSP certifications and strong federal experience. Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
