Position Description:
This position coordinates and supports the reinsurance treaty administration tasks. The incumbent will ensure that the administration is performed and reported accurately within the existing controlled environment.
Position Location:
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Cincinnati, OH or Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.
What you do:
Coordinates testing and implementation of new treaties in administration system.
Processes policy changes, new business, and any other regular items.
Calculates adjustments for unusual reinsurance situations.
Processes periodic billing statements and reviews and reconciles cash and accrual items related to reinsurance.
Processes payment of monthly settlement amounts due to/from reinsurer.
Performs reinsurance claims calculations, and processes claims amounts for reinsurance.
Assists in preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
Assists in reinsurance audits.
What you bring:
2-4 years of relevant insurance industry experience required.
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
Previous experience with reinsurance concepts, processes, or systems desired.
Experience with Microsoft Excel is desired.
Experience with SQL is desired.
