Overview

Lead Hardware Testing in Aerospace – Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer (Onsite). PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer to support a critical aerospace manufacturing program. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on the design, development, and implementation of hardware testing strategies for avionics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and support the design, development, and implementation of hardware for avionics products
  • Develop test strategies, devices, and systems for circuit boards, processors, and wiring
  • Perform stress and performance testing to ensure product reliability
  • Lead and direct tasks as needed, applying creativity and technical expertise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and report findings to management

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in hardware testing or a related area
  • Familiarity with industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong judgment and experience in planning and executing goals
  • Ability to work onsite full-time

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
  • Strong background in system-level testing and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Python, C, LabWindows CVI, and LabVIEW
  • Familiarity with RF equipment and test instruments
  • Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254 certification processes
  • Experience with embedded operating systems
  • Ability to develop code from schematics and build rack stack ATE systems
