Overview

BEPC is actively looking for Sr. Advanced Hardware Engineer in Phoenix, AZ area. This role will support the analysis, design, development, and implementation of hardware for products. The selected candidate will develop test strategies, devices, and systems, and perform stress and performance tests on various computer hardware components including circuit boards, processors, and wiring. The position may also include leading and directing the work of others, with a strong emphasis on creativity, technical judgment, and the ability to accomplish goals independently while reporting to a manager or department head.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products.
• Develops test strategies, devices, and systems.
• Performs stress and performance tests on computer hardware including circuit boards, processors, and wiring.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering discipline
• 4–6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Creativity and latitude expected in the role.

• Have you taken the system level requirements and develop Test Requirements Documents?
• Which phases of the System life cycle are your strongest and which phases are your weakest? Why? What phases do you enjoy most?
• Discuss your experiences in the design and development of Test Solution.
• What Programming languages are you proficient in? What languages(s) do you prefer? Preferably Python, C, LabWindow CVI, LabView
• Please discuss your experience in leading a project.
• What Test Instruments are you experienced and what RF equipment are you familiar with?
• What Test Certification process (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254), are you familiar with?
• What Embedded OS have you worked with?
• What your experience with developing code based on a schematic? 10. What your experience with developing Rack Stack ATE, adapters and cable set?

Employment details

W2 Contract – 5 months with possible extensions; Work Model: Onsite role; Pay Rate: $59.00 - $69.00 /hour (determined based on experience); Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
