Job Description

Reporting to the Trades Team Manager, the Confidential Secretary is accountable to be an effective, efficient office manager for the day-to-day administrative operations for the project management team. This position is responsible for budgeting, accounting/finance duties and assisting the Regional Coordinator of Projects with scheduling of both projects and CUPE staff according to collective agreements. The Confidential Secretary will assist with documents and material of a confidential nature in relation to staff and long term project planning and must ensure confidentiality of this information while adhering to established policies and procedures. This is a regional position currently based out of North Battleford.

Responsibilities

  • Provide office management support for the project management team, including budgeting and accounting/finance duties.
  • Assist with scheduling of projects and CUPE staff in accordance with collective agreements.
  • Handle confidential documents and materials relating to staff and long term project planning; maintain confidentiality per policies and procedures.
  • Support regional coordination activities while based in North Battleford.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Two (2) years office experience.
  • Education: Business Administration certificate.
  • Other Education and Training: Office Education certificate is acceptable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competencies: Basic accounting skills; Intermediate interpersonal, computer, communication, and writing skills; Basic organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to recognize and maintain confidential information; ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships; ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and work under pressure; knowledge of applicable collective bargaining agreements.
