Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with pulmonary or medical-surgical needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge plans.
- Ensure the efficient and safe use of time, supplies, and equipment.
- Serve as a patient advocate, upholding safety, compassion, and respect in every interaction.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the past 4 years).
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Licensure: Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required prior to start.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification – required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred, required within 6 months of hire.
Schedule and Unit Details
- Shift: Full-Time Nights (7p–7a), Rotating Weekends.
- Unit Size: 45 beds.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 7:1.
- Note: Candidates must live within 60 minutes of the facility. In-person interviews required (shadow, facility tour, or admin interview).
Compensation and Benefits
- Shift Differentials:
- Nights: +$4.25/hr
- Weekends: +$3.00/hr
- Sign-On Bonus:
- $15,000 for Days
- $25,000 for Nights
