Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with pulmonary or medical-surgical needs.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge plans.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe use of time, supplies, and equipment.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, upholding safety, compassion, and respect in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the past 4 years).
  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure: Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation).
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required prior to start.
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification – required within 30 days of hire.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred, required within 6 months of hire.

Schedule and Unit Details

  • Shift: Full-Time Nights (7p–7a), Rotating Weekends.
  • Unit Size: 45 beds.
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 7:1.
  • Note: Candidates must live within 60 minutes of the facility. In-person interviews required (shadow, facility tour, or admin interview).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Shift Differentials:
    • Nights: +$4.25/hr
    • Weekends: +$3.00/hr
  • Sign-On Bonus:
    • $15,000 for Days
    • $25,000 for Nights
