Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for Clinton, IA.

Overview

Maintenance Electrician responsibilities include installing, calibrating, repairing, designing, constructing, adjusting, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing, calibrating, repairing, designing, constructing, adjusting, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of electronic equipment.
• Follow all plant and safety rules including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Perform daily inspection of electronic devices necessary for machine performance and data collection to produce a quality product.
• Maintain daily shift inspection and repair logs for review by supervision and other plant personnel.
• Analyze and review wiring diagrams, blueprints and schematics. Ensure electrical drawings are up-to-date.
• Use various meters and test equipment to troubleshoot and support decision-making; communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering for equipment modifications.
• Troubleshoot, locate and isolate problems associated with electrical equipment on the Shingle Line.
• Maintain plant instrumentation such as heat controllers, recording devices, concentration transmitters, level controls, and flow control devices.
• Work with maintenance supervisor to ensure an adequate level of backup spares for all electronic equipment.
• Assist with maintenance as needed and support the reliability culture.
• Hold peers accountable in a positive manner.
• Minimal travel may be required for training as determined by supervision.
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

Experience

• Minimum of 1.5 years of industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Mathematical Abilities: Basic arithmetic; ability to calculate percentages and work with decimals.
• Reading Ability: Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations; present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees, or the public.
• Computer Skills: Word processing at a basic level (memos, letters, formatting).
• Tools: Able to use power tools and electrical testing/measuring equipment.

Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Total Compensation

• Rate of Pay: $30.00-39.00 per hour.
