We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and providing cross-functional business partnerships to support commercial, operational, and manufacturing management and key team members. You will be part of the finance team, offering strategic support to business partners, collaborating with leadership, and delivering accurate analyses and reporting to drive business decisions and profitability. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, continuous improvement projects, and financial modeling. You will report directly to the Finance Manager within GILLIG’s Finance Department. This is a highly visible role that is best suited for a highly motivated individual who is looking to improve processes and drive the business forward. This position is located within our Livermore, CA office. In This Role You Will
Strategically support business partners with quality data and analytics for effective decision-making, including financial analysis for spend control, cost efficiencies, and labor productivity opportunities for achieving profit growth plan Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to create monthly/quarterly reporting dashboards to track key financial and performance metrics Work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) to develop timely and accurate reporting of program performance, including program budgets, expenses, and labor hours Prepare timely and accurate periodic financial reporting, metrics and analysis of volume, margin, labor costs, and operating expenses for management Manage all aspects of financial reporting and analysis including variance analysis, MD&A, management presentations, KPI reporting, sales analysis, ad-hoc financial modeling and sensitivity analysis, labor analysis, etc. Support monthly forecasting of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, and assist with the Annual Operating Plan process Assist Sales Finance Manager and Finance Manager with the analysis of customer profitability Provide training on finance concepts to department heads as necessary Drive issues to root cause by explaining variances between actuals and plans/forecasts Manage projects with multiple work streams, coordinating internal/external resources to ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget completion Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA a plus Minimum of 7 years Finance and/or Accounting experience Experience in manufacturing, specifically transportation equipment, is highly desirable Strong skills in process organization, project management with multiple work streams, and coordination of internal/external resources Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Advanced knowledge of financial modules within ERP software (e.g., Infor Syteline, SAP, Oracle) Advanced experience in planning/analytics financial modules (Planful, Anaplan, Hyperion, Essbase, or similar) Advanced analytical and technical skills; able to model business requirements and perform "what-if" analyses Ability to drive continuous process improvement through development of reports and analyses for informed decision-making Ability to build impactful working relationships with internal and external customers Ownership mindset with initiative and drive Ability to lift 25 lbs. and perform standard physical requirements of the role; ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment; willingness to wear PPE as required Travel: No travel required Compensation
Expected compensation: $75,000 - $275,000 annual salary + premium benefits Pay offered may vary depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the offered position. Equal Opportunity
