The Manager (Senior Asset Manager) will play a vital role within the Agency Asset Management - Risk Mitigation team, managing an assigned portfolio of multifamily loans requiring heightened surveillance and risk mitigation oversight. The Agency Manager will be responsible for managing communication to internal and external stakeholders including investors, vendors, and borrowers. They will support the goals and objectives of the Multifamily Asset Management platform and will report to a Senior Manager. Responsibilities
Portfolio Oversight: Manage a portfolio of distressed multifamily assets, with a focus on developing loss mitigation strategies based on complex analyses, borrower net worth and liquidity, market conditions, collateral condition, and other risk metrics. Stakeholder Communication: present to executive leadership and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing clear, frequent updates on progress and strategy to ensure compliance with all loan documents and Agency requirements. Workouts and Resolutions: Develop and implement workout strategies for underperforming assets, collaborating with stakeholders to maximize asset value and financial outcomes. Monitor monetary and non-monetary defaults and take swift action to mitigate risk. Prepare property and loan level valuations using various valuation methodologies. Conduct on-site property inspections on heightened risk rated loans. Participate in monthly loan risk rating process. Prepare ad hoc portfolio reports and analyses. Identify operational opportunities to promote accuracy and efficiency. Use experience to mentor, train and manage junior staff. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 5 years of experience with asset management At least 5 years of experience in multifamily real estate At least 5 years of GSE experience (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) or CMBS experience Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in multifamily real estate, preferably in Asset Management, Loss Mitigation or Watchlist Management, with strong understanding of Asset Management principles and Lender requirements Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proven ability to manage multiple complex situations under pressure and with a high degree of professionalism Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position Compensation and Benefits
The salary ranges listed are location-based and apply to full-time roles. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. This role may be eligible for incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives (LTI), depending on plan eligibility. Equal Employment Opportunity
