Senior Strategic Advisor – Revenue Cycle Implementation
to lead complex healthcare revenue cycle initiatives across multiple service lines, including
Patient Access, Coding, Health Information Management (HIM), and Clinical Integration . This role requires a highly skilled consultant capable of bridging operational, technical, and strategic domains to drive measurable performance improvement and client satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with executive leaders, operational managers, and IT teams to design and deliver integrated Epic-based solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in
Epic implementation and optimization ,
project management , and
organizational strategy
within large healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage full-cycle revenue cycle transformation and implementation projects, including assessment, design, build, testing, training, and go-live support. Act as a strategic advisor to health system executives on optimizing Patient Access, HIM, Coding, and Clinical Documentation workflows. Oversee revenue cycle readiness for enterprise initiatives such as Epic Refuel, 3M 360/Single Path implementation, and front-end denial management programs. Direct cross-functional project teams, ensuring coordination between operations and IT to meet project milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Conduct workflow optimization sessions and translate business requirements into actionable system configurations and operational plans. Provide mentorship and training to client teams to sustain long-term improvement. Develop and present executive-level dashboards, ROI analyses, and key performance reports. Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure seamless implementation and data integrity across integrated systems. Required Skills & Experience
10+ years
of healthcare revenue cycle experience with demonstrated success in large-scale Epic implementations and optimization projects. Proven background in Patient Access operations, Coding & HIM, or Revenue Integrity. Experience in enterprise project management including design, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support. Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, with focus on process improvement, compliance, and financial impact. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing executive stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in complex health systems. PMP certification preferred. Epic certifications in any of the following are strongly preferred: Cadence, Prelude, Resolute PB/HB, HIM Hospital Coding, ROI, or Referrals. Preferred Background
Prior experience as a Director, Senior Consultant, or Strategic Advisor at healthcare consulting firms, healthcare organizations, or Epic. Experience leading 3rd party integrations such as 3M 360, Single Path, or Payer Platforms. Deep understanding of operational alignment between revenue cycle and IT, with a history of achieving quantifiable outcomes. Education
Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field. PMP certification (PMI) or equivalent project management training preferred.
