Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Facilities Technician
to support maintenance and facility operations at our San Diego site. This role involves hands-on repair work, routine maintenance, and coordination of vendor services to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient work environment. You will work closely with the Facility Manager to prioritize and execute work orders, maintain equipment, and support overall building safety and reliability.
Base pay range $40.00/hr - $46.00/hr
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs: carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot and schedule repairs for building systems, including fire suppression and alarm systems
Manage facilities work orders and maintain clean, organized workspaces
Coordinate site escorts and monitor quality of work by contractors and vendors
Respond to on-call alarms and emergencies as needed
Participate in safety training and emergency response procedures
Assist with event setup as required
Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience including carpentry, drywall, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred
Basic knowledge of fire suppression and fire alarm systems
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Must be available for on-call duties
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
