DoD SkillBridge participants are not compensated by Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits. Responsibilities for DoD SkillBridge Program participation:
Northrop Grumman has developed the DoD SkillBridge Program utilizing DoDI guidance. The service member will work on site, gaining experience in an entry to mid-level career path, with a 40-hour work week. Goals, objectives, and outcomes focus on preparing separating service-members for civilian careers and potentially converting to full-time opportunities. Goals
– Provide separating service-members with job skills training in a professional setting during the final phase of military service and to serve as a pipeline into Northrop Grumman. Objectives
– Complete hands-on experience including professional development, leadership networking, and training aligned with NG principles, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities. Outcome
– Offer service-members a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team. You will join as a Cyber Systems Engineer or Principal Cyber Systems Engineer based out of Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement secure systems to protect the organization from cyber threats. This role requires in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, system architecture, and the ability to analyze complex systems for vulnerabilities. This position is 100% onsite in Annapolis, MD. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement cybersecurity solutions to safeguard systems and data. Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into systems and applications. Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and technologies to proactively mitigate risks. Define, decompose, and ensure integration of cybersecurity across the system development lifecycle. Apply Zero Trust, MLS, and other advanced security principles. Provide guidance and training on cybersecurity best practices. Work independently to meet quick deployment deadlines and ensure solutions meet customer product requirements. Occasional local and domestic travel for program-related meetings with external contractors/offices. This requisition may be filled at either a Cyber Systems Engineer or Principal Cyber Systems Engineer level. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications for a Cyber Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, a master’s degree with 0 years, or 6+ years in lieu of a degree U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI DoD 8140/8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher before start or ability to obtain within 1 year (example: Security+ CE) Experience with vulnerability remediation Experience with Splunk Experience with Agile development Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, a master’s with 3 years, a PhD with 1 year, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI DoD 8140/8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher before start or ability to obtain within 1 year Experience with vulnerability remediation Experience with Splunk Experience with Agile development Preferred Qualifications for both levels: Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171 Knowledge of NIST 800-160 Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model Active Top Secret clearance at time of application Experience with DoD System Security Engineering activities Knowledge of RMF, STIG, and requirements development from control listings Proficiency in network security, software development, and system architecture design Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., OpenStack) Experience with Linux and Microsoft computing systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in vulnerability scans and security documentation (ISSPs, POA&Ms) Experience with anti-malware and intrusion prevention software Ability to provide training and demonstrations Ability to assess the program’s security posture per customer requirements Salary:
Primary Level Range: $93,900.00 - $140,900.00; Secondary Level Range: $115,800.00 - $173,800.00. Offers depend on scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications. May include overtime, shift differential, and bonuses as applicable. Benefits and EEO
