Overview
The Senior Accountant is an internal and external support function as part of the accounting team at Astera Labs and reports to the Accounting Manager. The position will be primarily responsible for supporting the financial statement preparation and month-end close process of the company. Scope of work includes a focus on the month-end close process, and financial statement preparation. This role will support providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements/schedules. The role will support posting journal entries, and preparing account reconciliations. This role will work closely with the international accounting teams. The Senior Accountant role is a hands-on role with strong GL/USGAAP knowledge and detail orientation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the high-tech or semiconductor sector. Primary Responsibilities
Preparing monthly financial statements which will be run regularly during the monthly close Cash application for all bank accounts, including customer deposit, vendor payments, equity related deposits on a weekly basis Booking entries including prepaid asset amortization, fixed asset depreciation, and property tax accrual Performing account reconciliations on Prepaid assets, Fixed assets, and AP Uploading the TBs of non-integrated international entities into the company’s ERP and ensure overall accuracy Support AP function where applicable, i.e. review payment runs, etc Support the Oracle implementation related tasks Support the quarterly 10Q filing process and the annual year end audit preparation Performing other accounting duties as assigned Creating and analyzing financial reports Performing ad hoc research and analysis Qualifications
5+ years’ work experience in public or corporate accounting Thorough knowledge of US GAAP Proficiency in intercompany transactions Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Oracle) Clear understanding of SOX requirements Excellent organizational and communication skills, comfortable working with external audit Strong understanding of financial transaction flows Ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines High attention to detail and ability to interact with senior management and functional department managers Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate preferred Nice to Haves
Semiconductor experience is a plus Previous experience involving ERP implementation (eg. Oracle Fusion) is a plus Worked with Microsoft BC (Business Central) Company Perks & Benefits
