Overview Of The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to oversee our client's tax strategy and compliance. This position plays a key role in managing federal, state, and local tax matters, leading tax provision processes, and guiding the organization through complex tax-related issues. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to partner with executive management to ensure best-in-class tax operations. Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of income and non-income tax compliance, including preparation, review, and filing. Oversee the calculation and reporting of income tax provisions in line with ASC 740. Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and advisors during audits and inquiries. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax changes, assess their impact, and implement effective responses. Partner with finance and legal teams to ensure proper tax treatment of corporate transactions. Build, mentor, and guide members of the tax team, fostering a culture of growth and accountability. Drive process improvements, enhance controls, and strengthen risk management within the tax function. Preferred Qualifications
CPA, MST, or JD/LLM strongly preferred. 8+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and corporate tax in industry. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws, ASC 740, and multi-entity tax structures. Prior experience managing tax provisions, audits, and complex corporate transactions.
