We are seeking a highly skilled
Controller
to join our client's finance team, with a focus on supporting Co-Investment and General Partnership Funds. This individual will play a critical role in fund operations, reporting, and investor communication, while also leading process improvements across financial systems. As the business grows, the scope of the position may evolve accordingly. Base pay range
$190,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Key Responsibilities
Manage all accounting, reporting, and administration for Co-Investment and GP Funds, including quarterly financials and capital account statements Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual valuation reports Calculate and coordinate capital calls and distributions based on fund cash projections Monitor fund cash activity and perform reconciliations with bank accounts Liaise with third-party loan administrators and IRA custodians Review and manage subscription documentation for Co-Investors Interpret and review fund legal documents Respond to ad-hoc requests and investor inquiries Work closely with the management company team on payable reconciliations Lead or assist in testing, rollout, and execution of new financial reporting tools and initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required 10–15+ years of experience, including public accounting and experience with alternative asset managers Deep understanding of US GAAP, private equity, and private debt investment structures Experience managing and mentoring accounting teams Familiarity with online banking and treasury platforms Experience using Dynamo or other CRM systems preferred.
