Software Engineer, iOS Core Product - Baltimore, USA The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Speechify’s text-to-speech products turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio to help people read faster, read more, and remember more. Our iOS app is part of a family of products including Android, Mac, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Speechify has been recognized for its design and accessibility by Apple and others. We are a 100% distributed company with no office, comprising frontend and backend engineers, AI researchers, and professionals from leading tech companies. We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support our growing user base and work on new projects to push our product forward. This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys delivering great user experiences. We value leadership, strong technical skills, and the ability to ship results quickly. Our interview process includes several technical interviews with a target completion time of about one week. What You’ll Do
Lead key engineering and product decisions Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app Work within a dedicated product team Participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture An Ideal Candidate Should Have
Experience with products scaled to large user bases Track record of taking products from inception to traction and owning the engineering product Customer obsession and a focus on delivering the best possible experience Product thinking and ability to support internal teams and designers Speed and judgment to ship now or plan for later Focus suited to a high-growth, remote startup Technical skills: Swift, SwiftUI Technical Requirements
Swift Programming Language SwiftUI experience Multithreading programming Working with CI/CD infrastructure Experience with Fastlane SOLID principles and clean code Git proficiency and understanding of Git workflows What We Offer
