Overview

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate in one of our South Florida offices to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects. Will provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects, serving as lead electrical engineer when required. Power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities. Must have strong communication skills, including interaction with engineers, clients, and contractors. Key Responsibilities

Power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. Knowledge of the NEC and related Codes. Serve as electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities. Supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines. Candidate will serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices. Engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and scope development. Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects. Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering 7-15 years of experience in electrical engineering and design

Prior experience in water/wastewater industry is desirable

Professional Engineering License Required AutoCAD experience is a must, Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable. Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Electrical Engineering Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs What We Offer
