Head of CRE Loan Asset Management & Servicing , you will lead and scale the asset management platform for a real estate debt/investment firm. You will nurture and expand relationships with institutional clients, oversee workout and performance strategies for the loan portfolio, and drive new business development. You are a trusted senior leader who bridges credit, operations, and capital markets. Responsibilities
Client & Business Development Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, sovereign funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and family offices. Lead deal origination efforts: present the firm’s asset management capabilities, negotiate mandates, and win third-party mandates. Work with marketing, capital raising, and investor relations teams to position the platform and attract new clients. Portfolio Oversight & Performance Oversee all asset management functions for commercial real estate loans, including performing, distressed, refinance, and special servicing oversight. Establish and enforce portfolio performance targets; align with underwriting assumptions and investor expectations. Approve and monitor workout strategies, modifications, forbearance, foreclosure, and recovery paths. Ensure loan and property metrics are tracked, variances analyzed, and corrective actions taken. Credit & Risk Management Review financial models, valuations, property-level budgets, cash flow projections, and stress tests. Monitor compliance with loan covenants, risk ratings, and early warning indicators. Engage with legal, restructuring, and special servicing teams on defaults. Coordinate with risk and finance teams to integrate portfolio performance into firm-level risk frameworks. Operations & Team Leadership Build and manage a high-performing asset management team (analysts, associates, asset managers). Define process standards, reporting protocols, systems (e.g. loan management software), and workflow efficiencies. Ensure consistent governance, audit controls, and internal/external investor reporting. Lead cross-functional collaboration with acquisitions, underwriting, capital markets, legal, and compliance teams. Strategic & Thought Leadership Define and maintain the strategic vision for asset management, aligning with firm goals and market trends. Represent the firm externally: speak at industry conferences, publish thought pieces, engage with rating agencies. Benchmark portfolio against peers; adapt best practices to elevate platform capabilities. Qualifications & Experience
Senior-level experience: 10–15+ years in commercial real estate credit, asset management, or banking. Track record managing large portfolios: leading teams that oversee multi-hundred million to multi-billion dollar loan books. Client-facing strength: proven ability to win mandates, maintain relationships, and act as a senior face to investors. Workout & restructuring experience: familiarity with non-performing loans, special servicing, legal foreclosure, etc. Deep knowledge of loan documentation, securitization (PSAs, servicer agreements), master/servicing structures. Strong financial modeling, valuation, underwriting, and risk analysis skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation capabilities. Advanced degree (MBA, MS Real Estate, Finance) preferred but not required. Preferred Competencies

Salary:
