Overview Atlantic Group is hiring an Audit & Financial Controls Manager in Boston, MA (Hybrid) with our client. You will lead internal control oversight across investment operations, audits, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, STAT, and internal control standards. This role is ideal for audit and accounting professionals with experience in process optimization, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration within the investment industry.

Responsibilities

Audit Oversight:

Lead and manage audits for investment entities and subsidiaries, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables.

Process & Controls Management:

Design, document, and assess controls across the investment lifecycle while coordinating control testing and remediation.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, STAT, and internal control standards in partnership with Financial Reporting and Risk teams.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement enhancements to audit procedures, documentation, and internal control frameworks.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Partner with Investment Operations, Controllership, and ERM to strengthen controls and resolve audit findings.

Technology & Reporting:

Maintain audit dashboards and reporting tools, supporting finance transformation and system improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).

Experience:

7+ years in audit, financial reporting, or controllership within investment management, insurance, or financial services, with expertise in U.S. GAAP and STAT reporting.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, experience with financial systems and internal control frameworks preferred.

Industry Knowledge:

Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial instruments, and control testing within large or matrixed organizations.

Skills & Attributes:

Detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong communication and leadership skills, proactive, adaptable, and motivated by continuous improvement and operational excellence.
