DSS Lead (Hands on Feet) Location:

Fort Wayne, IN Responsibilities

Manage a team of Deskside/Onsite Support Engineers and adhere to SLAs Lead and coordinate Deskside Support Team activities Act as Single Point of Contact with strong customer handling skills Awareness of ITIL processes and adherence to them Report to the Service Success Manager / Delivery Manager Handle tickets/requests to troubleshoot reported problems and take necessary steps to resolve Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure process adherence Build and configure PCs and laptops, load software, and set up applications (e.g., Outlook, Wi‑Fi, VPN, Backup) Set up and troubleshoot printers, copiers, RF guns, phones in offices Track work tickets using ITIL-based systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) Troubleshoot network connectivity and diagnose hardware/software issues Perform repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals Improve and maintain customer and employee satisfaction Perform asset inventory activities as needed Create documentation for processes and procedures Break-fix, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues; reimage computers/hard drives Provide frontline customer support at the Genius Bar, including hardware and software troubleshooting Technical Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience as deskside/onsite support or local IT engineer Strong Microsoft OS installation (Win11/Mac) and troubleshooting skills Experience providing hands & feet support for meeting room VC devices, network and datacenter equipment Strong experience troubleshooting MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong desktop support knowledge: hardware, software, networking Experience with desktops, workstations, notebooks, printers, and handheld devices Good knowledge of macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Android Windows image build process and SCCM deployments Basic understanding of AV equipment and conference room setup Remote desktop tools (e.g., SMS, Bomgar, WebEx, Live Meeting, Windows native tools) Troubleshoot and assist end users with mobile device setup and performance issues Knowledge of BlackBerry, Android, and iOS handheld support Strong written and verbal communication skills Soft skills: excellent communication, customer focus, ability to handle unforeseen situations, adaptability Experience with MS Office suite (including MS Project and Visio) Must have professional experience with various Windows desktop OS; strong desktop support Experience providing smart hands support for network and datacenter equipment Minimum 5+ years in a similar role A+ certification About Apptad
