Materials Planner
to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role reports to the
Senior Manager Global Material Planning & Systems . Role location:
San Jose, CA. The Materials Planner will lead demand planning activities in support of California and Delaware Manufacturing, drive process improvement for information flow and material availability, optimize ERP system setup, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, buyers, and logistics to ensure continuous material supply and aligned production plans. Responsibilities
Establishes the material schedule in the ERP system by firming, releasing and tracking the flow of planned orders Serves as a single point of contact to the Manufacturing organization on material availability Works with procurement, logistics and other supply chain functions to align manufacturing plans and material flow Drives transaction discipline and ensures timely recording of milestones and close of work orders Maintains ERP item planning parameters (lead times, planning time fences, order modifiers) and improves data integrity Sets up and maintains manufacturing BOMs; monitors engineering and manufacturing BOM integrity; reviews engineering change orders, planning bills of materials, and deviation requests Revises schedules based on work order specs, priorities, and part/material availability Monitors routing accuracy and collaborates with manufacturing engineers to optimize routing steps and standard operations Monitors work order aging and drives reductions in WIP inventory Collaborates with functions to ensure buy-in and adherence to the production schedule Supports implementation of materials affected by Engineering Change Notices Monitors daily plan assumptions and communicates adjustments to the materials team Establishes supply/demand signals in the ERP system for forecast, work orders, and sales orders Ensures alignment with optimized production schedule Skills and Experience
BS or BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Engineering; 1–3 years of production and/or materials planning and scheduling experience Strong verbal and written communication; proven problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment Solid ERP experience; Oracle ERP and Agile PLM experience preferred Proficiency in MS Office Experience with supply chain analytics and attention to detail APICS (ASCM) certification a plus Physical Requirements
Ability to work across shifts or areas of the plant as needed Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Must wear Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment Equal Opportunity

The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on factors including relevant skills and experience. Salary ranges: $70,100.00 - $100,900.00
