Role Summary Report to the Chief Technology Officer, the Senior Director will apply strategic thinking, technical depth, and industry partnerships to design, scale up, and integrate Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and Hydrogen production solutions on our solid oxide platform for industrial customers and decarbonized AI data centers.
Responsibilities
Design and develop process engineering roadmaps for integrating Bloom products into industrial CCUS applications.
Lead technical discussions with engineering teams and external partners to create repeatable and scalable designs for CCUS implementation.
Design and develop process roadmaps to integrate Hydrogen production and Heat Capture into Bloom products.
Develop technical proposals and partnership models to scale and deliver Bloom product offerings globally.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including energy companies, academia, government bodies, and research institutions; assess market trends and regulatory environments to guide strategic decisions.
Stay current with industry advancements, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes in the carbon capture and climate technology sectors.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Commercial organizations to align Bloom offerings with market demand and technology advancements.
Skills and Experience
Deep expertise in industrial process design and development.
Strong understanding of the CCUS, Hydrogen production, and heat capture value chain, including regulatory frameworks and market drivers.
MS/Ph.D. in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience in energy systems, green chemistry, thermodynamics, heat transfer, carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration, and technology commercialization.
Familiarity with clean‑tech project development.
Consensus‑builder team orientation with strong stakeholder‑buy‑in skills across a matrix organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong project management and change management skills.
