RESPONSIBILITIES
Effective Date: 09/25 JOB SUMMARY
Works with the Manager, Administrative Services, Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG), to help manage day-to-day QUMG operations, projects and other programs and initiatives. Collaborates with QUMG administrative leadership, clinic managers, and QUMG clinical leadership and physicians to deliver high-quality administrative services and excellent customer service. Plans, manages, and coordinates functions, services, and activities for staffing and scheduling for QUMG providers. Serves as the lead for projects and initiatives as assigned. Supports The Queen’s Medical Center’s vision and values to enhance the provision of quality health care and optimize the health status of QMC patients, and supports QMC’s Mission to fulfill the intent of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity quality health care services to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawai`i. Supports the QUMG’s vision to be the preeminent academic medical group of the Pacific - leading the delivery of high quality, compassionate patient care and continually advancing education and research. EDUCATION
Associate\'s degree required, preferably in business, healthcare or related field; or two (2) years of experience with staffing and/or progressively responsible adminitrative roles may be substituted for educational requirement. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
No certification and/or licensure requirement. EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of demonstrated and progressive experience in healthcare operations in any or a combination of the following areas: physician practice, health clinic operations, acute care hospital and/or medical insurance, preferred. Experience to demonstrate the following: Working effectively with physicians and other clinical providers. Working with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook). Ability to gather, analyze, and organize data in a logical and systematic manner, and report data and findings in a concise manner to various audiences. Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assigned tasks with a high degree of customer service.
