General Manager of MetroBus

As General Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, guide emergency responses, and ensure on-time service that keeps the region moving. This is more than just managing buses — it’s about delivering safe, reliable, and innovative transit solutions that shape the economic and social future of St. Louis. What You’ll Do
Direct and inspire a large team of managers and operators to deliver
world-class bus service . Manage an
$80 million budget , ensuring resources are used effectively to benefit riders and the community. Partner with city leaders, planners, and union representatives to build collaboration and trust. Lead during critical moments—whether it’s coordinating service during major events, handling emergency responses, or planning for the unexpected. Drive innovation, improve system performance, and implement strategies that elevate customer experience. What We’re Looking For
We want a proven leader who thrives on responsibility, innovation, and impact. You should bring: 10+ years in
transportation or a related field , with significant senior leadership experience. Expertise in
union environments
and collaborative labor relations. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate large, diverse teams. A
Bachelor’s degree
