Overview Position: Per Diem Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (Onsite) at 2014 Washington Street, Newton MA. Schedule: Day shift; Onsite; 0 scheduled weekly hours. Pay range: $35.14 - $52.80 per hour. Grade: 6.

Responsibilities

Perform professional quality cardiac ultrasound procedures including M-MODE, 2D (real time), PW/CW Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, Stress Echocardiography, Transesophageal and Contrast Ultrasound studies, following American Society of Echocardiography guidelines.

Prepare the patient for examination, collect demographic information, clinical history, and correlate symptoms with findings.

Recognize abnormal pathology and generate a useful study, creating a permanent record in the digital PACS system and hardcopy.

Prepare an initial report for the Cardiologist and initiate direct notification for issues requiring immediate attention.

Participate as a member of the Cardiac Ultrasound team in delivering services to patients and physicians.

Qualifications

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Associates Degree — Required

Registered in Cardiac Ultrasound preferred

Three to five years of Cardiac ultrasound experience required, with knowledge of M-MODE, 2-D, COLOR FLOW IMAGING and Doppler

Experience with transesophageal imaging and stress echocardiography preferred
