Job Description: Project Director (HVAC)
Base pay range : $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Company : gpac This role is with a well-respected mechanical contractor seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead on hospitals, laboratories, and large industrial projects. The opportunity focuses on estimating, buy-out, procurement, detailed submittal documentation, and management of others to contribute to project success. Responsibilities
Lead pre-construction activities for HVAC/MEP projects in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. Oversee estimating, procurement, submittals, and buy-out processes. Manage project teams and craft supervision in a self-perform environment. Monitor production, control costs, and manage schedules, procurement, and quality/safety during project execution. Develop and maintain accurate estimates from schematic design documents; demonstrate experience in hard bid markets. Assist in developing accurate, detailed cost control and project documentation. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in HVAC/MEP/Mechanical Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Construction with a background in plumbing and advanced plumbing systems. Past project sizes typically exceeding $5 million. Experience supervising craft in a self-perform environment; demonstrated ability to manage others. Familiarity with management controls (schedules, cost control, procurement, quality and safety). Experience in estimating and developing bids from schematic design documents. Previously worked as a crafts person in the mechanical trades; professional licensing is a plus. Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience managing teams and a stable work history. 5-15+ years of HVAC/MEP/Mechanical Construction experience with mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems. Strong verbal and people skills; ability to prioritize and work independently. Willingness to work varied hours and schedules as assigned. Benefits
