Summary The Associate Director US Pricing Strategy Cell Therapy role on the Cell therapy Max team evaluates strategic implications of channel dynamics and ecosystem changes, identifying value-creating opportunities and developing innovative pricing strategies for Hematology brands over their full product life cycle. This role collaborates with the Cell Therapy Access team to implement pricing strategies, leveraging deep knowledge of BMS cell therapy portfolio, profitability objectives, health economics, customer profiles, and financial and market data to analyze pricing scenarios and develop pricing models. The position supports the integrated customer team with strong analytical capabilities to aid in account- and channel-specific access strategy development. It is responsible for identifying and evaluating creative pricing approaches within the evolving access landscape. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a comprehensive, value-creating pricing strategy for Cell therapy brands that maintains strategic prominence with customers in line with the brand strategy.
Track and communicate competitive activities, marketplace changes, and regulatory developments affecting pricing strategies.
Collaborate with the Cell Therapy Brand Access team and US Contracting team to develop and lead comprehensive Gross-to-Net (GTN) strategies over the product lifecycle, including launch price, list price evolution, and contracting impacts.
Work with Cell Therapy and GTN Finance teams to assess and communicate budget, long-term forecast (LTFP), and monthly/quarterly GTN evolution and variance.
Use analytics and financial acumen to evaluate pricing scenario impacts on volume and revenue.
Partner with the US Policy team to assess impacts of IRA and other policy changes on CAR-T pricing and access in the short-, mid-, and long-term.
Leverage provider and payer reimbursement data to deliver comprehensive CAR-T economics across channels, with quarterly reports shared with Access Marketing, Trade and Payer teams.
Initiate market research to support pricing strategy and develop methodologies for analyzing tiered pricing, pricing sensitivity analyses, and payer segmentation.
Coordinate across the matrix to balance needs and input from stakeholders (e.g., brand, Finance, Federal and Policy teams, Trade, HEOR, payer marketing) that influence pricing/contracting decisions.
Collaborate with HEOR to ensure pricing strategies leverage real-world evidence.
Qualifications BA/BS degree required; advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Health Economics or related field is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry preferred.
Understanding of multichannel challenges and business drivers (payers, IDNs, GPOs, pathways) and how they influence pricing and contracting receptivity.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate pricing approaches in a complex ecosystem.
Solid business acumen and understanding of how different customer types create value.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work across a matrix organization, and to build productive partnerships.
Experience negotiating, executing, and implementing contracts.
Ability to learn quickly and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to drive execution of key initiatives and meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ethical and compliant behavior.
