Software Engineer

to the team! This position is fully onsite in St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities

The employer seeks a senior software engineer with demonstrated experience in at least three of the following areas: web services architecture, micro-service architecture, containerization and/or orchestration, and API development. Responsibilities and Qualifications

Senior software engineer role focusing on web services, micro-services, containerization/orchestration, and API development. Desired Experience

Demonstrated experience with relational database development. Minimum of 3 years (or more) experience with agile and lean philosophies; experience serving as Scrum Master or team lead a plus. Experience with CI/CD techniques, test-driven development, or automated testing practices. Possesses at least one Agile Development Certification: Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Certified Scrum Professional. Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders to develop user stories for full-service consumer and business applications. Experience in integration and tailoring geospatial COTS software, specialized software/database development and maintenance, and related hardware integration; engineering studies to address geodata processing bottlenecks. Experience with GIS, open-source and proprietary geospatial formats. Experience with government and/or commercial imagery products, including SAR or related RADAR imaging technologies. Experience with common geospatial tools, data, and operating platforms, including: Tools: Boundless Spatial suite, Remote View, PostGRES/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial and/or other geospatial databases, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Image Server, and File Geodatabases. Data formats: KML, KMZ, NITF, TIFF, JPEG, GeoPDF, and similar geo-related formats. Operating platforms: ESRI, OpenGeo Suite, or similar. Experience abstracting new or legacy systems via standards-based APIs, including Open Geospatial Consortium standards. Experience in at least one of the following: developing terrain analysis visualization and algorithms; developing automated detection algorithms. Desired Education

A Master of Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent technical degree with a minimum of 8 years of full stack development experience in Java, Web services, Database, and micro-service development. Or, a Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of full stack development experience in Java, Web services, Database, and micro-service development. Or, equivalent to education, 12 years of software engineering/development experience may be substituted for a technical degree. What’s in It for You?
