is seeking a
Human Resources Coordinator
for
Meridian, MS.
Human Resources Coordinator Primary Responsibilities: Assist Plant HR Manager in administering all hourly wage, gain share, employee benefit programs including insurance, 401(k) and various employee relations activities. Assist with Workers Compensation, arbitrations, contract negotiation, records, and concerns. Administer disciplinary and attendance procedures. Assures fair and equitable treatment of all employees along with plant supervision. Assure compliance with the Corporate Policy Manual. Prepare, send and correspond on all accident reports. Compile, prepare and distribute Employee Handbook which includes plant specific programs, such as Attendance, Drug and Alcohol Policy, Plant Rules and Regulations, Accident Reporting, etc. Pre-screen and interview all new and prospective employees. Perform new employee orientation for new employees. Administer benefit programs including Medical, Dental, Life, Voluntary Life, Principal, etc. Maintain and control employment records. Complete any projects as assigned or requested. Oversee the safety shoe and safety glass reimbursement program. Maintain professional relationships with employees and community, union representatives, and various organizations to assure company goodwill. Human Resources Generalist
Experience:
1-3 years' experience in Human Resources or business-related discipline preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Computer skills required include MicroSoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and ADP Workforce Now. Good mathematical skills required. Knowledgeable in employment law. Experience in all HR related tasks including benefits, recruitment, compensation, training and development, HRIS, and administration. Ability to communicate clearly (both orally and written) to personnel from a variety of functional areas. Ability to enter, manipulate and retrieve data from the computer. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of personnel. Professional presentation to vendors, contractors, and customers. Analytical and advanced mathematic skills. Objective judgment required during internal investigations. Effective communication (verbal and written). Organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Be a positive example of leadership. Education, Licenses & Certifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required 4-year degree/PHR Certification preferred but not required Total Compensation
