The Forge Companies (TFC) is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our Buckhead Atlanta office. This role focuses on providing hands-on support to associates with company-issued hardware and software. In collaboration with other IT teams, the IT Support Specialist will help ensure technology is utilized efficiently and effectively across the organization.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be a technical and critical thinker who understands technology and can use their knowledge to reach resolutions efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for someone hungry to grow and learn.

Essential Functions

  • Provide software support (Windows 11, M365/Office applications, Intune, Adobe, etc.), hardware support (laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, printers, etc.), and connectivity support.
  • Take full ownership of the installation and setup of new laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, overseeing the entire process from planning to execution, ensuring smooth deployment with minimal oversight.
  • Assist with conference room and A/V setups for meetings and presentations.
  • Work with associates to troubleshoot technology issues, minimizing downtime, ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Help build and improve the company’s knowledge base system and processes.
  • Act as a self-starter, managing tasks and resolving issues without constant supervision.
  • Maintain clear documentation of issues, solutions, and processes within our standard ticketing system.
  • Maintain and track the company’s technology assets.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • IT certifications (A+, CCNA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE) preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365’s product suite.
  • Strong understanding of network, hardware, and software functionalities.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Effectively communicates and meets deadlines and expectations without guidance/supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Travel Requirements

  • Less than 5% of the time, but occasional travel is necessary.
