Overview

Aspen Leadership Group is pleased to partner with the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) in the search for a Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be bold and entrepreneurial in leading AICF's next chapter of growth, visibility, and cultural impact. This is a role for a proven scrappy hunter with a global mindset: a relationship builder, fundraiser, cultural connector, and nonprofit operator all in one. The CEO will lead a bi-national team, steward donor relationships, oversee programs, manage operations, and serve as AICF's most visible ambassador. This is an ideal opportunity for a leader who thrives in resourceful, fast-paced environments and has a passion for arts, culture, and Israel. Founded in 1939 by American philanthropist Edward Norman, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation has built one of the most enduring cultural bridges between the United States and Israel. Over more than 85 years, AICF has supported over 18,000 Israeli artists across disciplines—music, dance, theater, visual arts, film, and design—disbursing more than $160 million in grants, scholarships, competitions, master classes, instrument loans, and international study programs. Additionally, the organization recently launched its Beyond Talent program, which supports artists with access to mentoring, industry contacts, and project financing through our network of donors. AICF administers the Aviv Competition, one of the most prolific young artist competitions in Israel. Alumni include Itzhak Perlman, Yefim Bronfman, Miriam Fried, Ohad Naharin, Michal Rovner, and Avishai Cohen, who are global cultural ambassadors appearing in top-tier venues and institutions worldwide. Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership to drive growth, visibility, and cultural impact for AICF. Lead a lean but mighty bi-national team and oversee donor relationships, programs, and operations. Serve as AICF's most visible ambassador and chief spokesperson. Develop and execute fundraising strategies, partnerships, and major gifts to support AICF’s mission. Navigate cross-border collaborations and connect Israeli artists with international opportunities. Qualifications

10 years of experience, including senior leadership roles in nonprofits, cultural institutions, philanthropy, or mission-driven organizations. Fluency in English required; Hebrew proficiency preferred. Open to candidates from a broad range of backgrounds; strong alignment with AICF’s mission is essential. Interested candidates should apply with a cover letter responsive to the mission and the responsibilities and qualifications in the position prospectus, along with a résumé.
