Lead and execute detailed engineering designs for solar PV + energy storage projects (C&I scale) Conduct site walks, gather field data, and perform feasibility assessments Create complete design packages — including site plans, SLDs, conduit schedules, and interconnection drawings Model system performance using PVSyst, Helioscope, HOMER, or SAM Ensure compliance with NEC, CEC, UL, IEEE, and utility interconnection standards Coordinate project management, construction, and permitting teams to deliver seamless execution Continuously refine CAD standards and design processes to drive quality and consistency Your Engineering Blueprint
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required 7+ years of hands-on experience designing commercial and industrial solar PV + ESS systems Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and system modeling tools Understanding of DC/AC coupled storage systems and inverter technologies (Tesla, Fluence, PCS, etc.) Solid grasp of NEC 690/705/706, UL 1741-SA, and IEEE 1547 standards Familiarity with IOU interconnection processes (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E) EIT or NABCEP certification preferred; leadership or mentoring experience a plus Benefits & Growth
