Overview Oversees compliance across an integrated delivery system, including both health plan and care delivery operations. Designs, implements, and manages a comprehensive Enterprise-Wide Compliance & Privacy Program aligned with federal guidance from the OIG, OCR, and industry standards. Partners with senior leadership to identify and mitigate enterprise risks, ensure regulatory readiness, and uphold ethical conduct through robust policies and the PHS Code of Conduct. Continuously evaluates program effectiveness to prevent, detect, and correct legal or policy violations. This position is intended to be conducted in the state of New Mexico, with in-office presence. Relocation assistance is available.

Base pay and benefits Base pay range: $42.31/hr - $372.60/hr. The pay range is provided by Presbyterian Healthcare Services and your actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a Related Field

10+ years of relevant experience

General financial/accounting background

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a written Code of Conduct and compliance standards, policies, and procedures for PHS employees, other workforce members, and contractors.

Update and communicate standards through training programs, newsletters, memoranda, and other means.

Implement monitoring and auditing procedures to determine compliance with PHS standards and procedures.

Develop and execute the PHS compliance risk assessment and audit plan; conduct regular audits and monitoring to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Investigate alleged regulatory or policy violations; ensure appropriate disciplinary actions and leadership involvement to reinforce a culture of compliance.

Address audit findings with appropriate leadership and implement corrective actions to mitigate risk and prevent recurrence.

Provide periodic reports on the Compliance Program and issues to the CEO; oversee the compliance hotline and reporting processes.

Guide enforcement of compliance standards and facilitate ethical business practices across the enterprise.

Lead the PHS/PHP Compliance & Audit Committee coordination with the Board Committee Chair.

Manage the Compliance and Disclosure processes, including coordination with Medical Staff Affairs on annual financial disclosures and CMS Open Payments disclosures with physician leadership.

Collaborate with operational leaders to safeguard data and oversee data controls, interfaces, transfers, and vendor sharing (including AI considerations).

Develop and manage the annual Compliance department operating budget.

Stay current with federal legislation, regulations, and industry best practices; review materials and operations for regulatory compliance.

Analyze information to improve enterprise compliance; interpret regulations with legal and subject matter experts; identify opportunities for business operation improvements.

Develop and deliver educational presentations and training on the Compliance Program and regulatory requirements; serve as an enterprise compliance resource.

Serve as the enterprise point of contact for regulatory agencies and auditors as appropriate.
