Job Summary The work of a Builder Operations Specialist includes: loading and unloading of cargo; receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material; export at the designated docks; completing forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations. May be assigned routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of facility. Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and operations. Remain cognizant of staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches or non-compliance with the site security plan.
Responsibilities
Builder must have experince in the following:
Ensures all duties performed by assigned personnel are completed in the most efficient and professional manner.
Performs export cargo build-up, import/export cargo tracing, forklift operation, monitors dock offload/loading utilization, and completes warehouse cargo inventory assessments.
Prepares import/export flight documentation, accepts/distributes cargo per applicable air carrier and DoT regulations, provides customer service to resolve issues.
Ensures compliance with ramp safety regulations, performs loading/un-loading of aircraft, conducts visual FOD checks and aircraft condition checks, operates ramp equipment, and coordinates cargo transport between terminals and aircraft.
Complies with all safety and security policies and procedures, and all air carrier TSA Security Programs. Do not engage in fraudulent activities related to safety and security.
Remain aware of staff, contractors, and visitors; report security breaches or non-compliances through the appropriate channels.
Minimum Requirements
HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU).
Preferred Skills
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
