Mortgage Closer HYBRID Westlake Village, CA Role overview
As a Mortgage Closer for one of our client projects, you will be responsible for the preparation of loan closing packages, Closing Disclosure (CD) preparation, including issuance of funds, closing instructions, etc., necessary to ensure the marketability of loans. Essential Functions/Duties
Competently review loan files to ensure all conditions are cleared and file is ready to close and fund. Competency review title commitment to ensure all title issues have been remediated prior to drawing closing documents. Perform accurate and complete input into Client’s system in preparation of drawing closing documents. Ensure accurate reporting when working through loan pipeline. Coordinate delivery of closing documents to settlement agent. Ensure all state requirements are met. Coordinate with settlement agent to obtain final fees to prepare the Closing Disclosure. Ensure accuracy of instructions to settlement agents. Review the Closing Disclosure for compliance with closing instructions and balance with title. Review returned documents for accuracy and completeness prior to funding in escrow states. Correct loan amounts if necessary. Approve documents for funding. Authorize and arrange for the funding wire or check and meet any warehouse requirements. Assist with Post Closing corrections and audits. Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred; college degree desired. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, Excel and Mortgage Loan Applications/Software; LOS experience preferred. 3+ years of prior loan closing experience preferred. Pay and Benefits
