Overview

Position : Data Scientist for the Clinical Data Ecosystem within Global Drug Development IT at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). The role supports platform, data, and analytics solutions for Global Biostatistics and Data Sciences, Clinical Data Management, and related domains. We seek a candidate who can help transform patient care through data science, machine learning, and data engineering in drug development. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Global Drug Development (GDD), Global Biometric & Data Science (GBDS) & Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform teams to understand business needs and shape data and technology strategy. Ideally perform as an hands-on Development Data Scientist Analyst to ideate, design, develop, model and deploy advanced solutions. Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive insights and recommendations aligned with Drug Development priorities, issues, and value levers. Apply agile problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset. Gather, pre-process and explore large-scale structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Apply advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling to develop models that drive actionable recommendations. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and propose solutions to business problems. Explain complex technical and scientific concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodologies and product-based environments. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Typically 4+ years in data and analytics roles with direct development experience. Experience with large datasets, data visualization tools, statistical software, and platforms (e.g., React, Python, SQL, Domino, AWS, GitHub). Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Experience handling large-scale structured and unstructured data with SQL or similar technologies. Experience building and deploying data science/engineering solutions using established methods (MLOps, Git) for complex datasets; predictive modeling experience. Experience with cloud storage/compute (AWS, Azure) and automation/monitoring tools. Focus on improving processes and knowledge within the team; ability to analyze current states and deliver solutions to complex problems. Compensation

Location: Princeton, NJ, USA. Compensation range: $91,290 - $110,622. Final pay decided based on experience. Benefits and incentive opportunities may be available. More details at careers site. On-site Protocol
